Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Using Cucumber and Gherkin is overwhelming complicated for new users and is probably overkill for this project.

Describe the solution you'd like
Use a new testing framework. The preferred option is Moca + Chai + NYC.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Could just use JSDocs if we really needed that in-depth of documentation as provided by Gherkin. We could also use Jest and friends as an alternative testing framework to Moca and friends.
