The thing compiled but I can't detect the wii swapforce portal. When I do ./editor -p -o WHY.bin
it just spouts out:

"Reading Skylander

And When I run as root i get:

Does this mean anything? And can I do anything?

Unfortunately I haven't looked at this code in years, and I no longer have a Wii Portal.

I would try one of the linux forks of this project, as I've never tried to build this on linux. I'm sure others have done a way better job than I getting this to work under linux. If you don't have luck with one of those ports, let me know and I'll see if I can find out what's happening in my code.

I can't even remember where that debug information comes from, I do remember releasing a debugging version for someone who couldn't detect their portal, but it gave much less output so really looked like a hardware problem, this looks like it is reading the skylander but then failing.
