Cannot save focus point if image is > 3MB

I'm using focus point along with Imager and Preparse. I've been having issues with images over 3MB.

If I upload an image larger than 3MB and adjust the focus point and hit save, I'm showed a blank page, sometimes with the number "1," and the entry will not be saved. Note, if I don't change the focus point, it saves fine.

Since I'm preparsing my images, I've encouraged my clients to upload very high quality content, so I'm hitting this limit a lot. Any help is appreciated!
