Site is down #74
Comments
I guess the short answer is I've moved on from maintaining a lot of old projects including this one. I left this in cold-fusion and the site up but I think the domain expired months ago and I hadn't noticed which is why it is down. |
It seems that other people are interested and other people are interested in maintaining this resource. |
FYI, it seems computefreely.org has been taken over by some SEO-spam that mimics the original and still uses @snwh's name. You might want to change the description to linked to an archived version like https://web.archive.org/web/20210412005603if_/https://computefreely.org/ |
WTF. In case this is not authorized @snwh you could likely take legal action against it? Or is it authorized? |
Definitely not authorized |
Then you could (try) taking legal action againat that… |
@snwh Just noticed what happened to the site... I would be interested in maintaining it if you are unable to. I can keep it under a subdomain temporarily and think about possibly renaming if the domain can't be reclaimed. Compute Freely was a great resource for me, and I'd love to keep it alive. |
If you would like to fork and maintain the site by all means, I don't have the time or interest in doing so these days. |
There is a fork that's up BTW, see: #41 (comment) |
The website is currently down, so what's up here?
Could not it e.g. be hosted at GitHub Pages which should easily stay up, at least? To have somewhat of a stable resource?
