DCC-EX provides free and open source software to build inexpensive systems to control your model railway layout. Many of you use our DCC++EX (aka CommandStation-EX) to run your trains and control your accessories. But we have added WebThrottle-EX to provide control for the Command Station and DCCInspector-EX to see the actual data and diagnose DCC issues around your layout.

We have a core team of volunteer programmers and electronics engineers and even more extended team members working to bring you new and better products. Here are some of the things we are working on:

  • Expanding the information on the web page
  • Making more videos
  • Purchasing new hardware to test on
  • Enhancing EX-RAIL Automation
  • Developing our own hardware to make things easier and more specific to model railroading

Your donations help cover our expenses and allow us to purchase new and different hardware like microcontrollers, motor controllers, sensors, and decoders to allow us to add support for them. Thank you for your support!
