I have the same error. I am on JDK 23. As a newbie, diagnosis of this issue won't be easy.
A shame, as the course material lays out the learning path for Jenkins very clearly, and it's frustrating to have a blocker with a Maven issue.

My workaround is to fetch the last commit before the Spring unit tests were implemented. These commands.
git fetch origin 4b3e6b3
git checkout FETCH_HEAD
At which point the "mvn clean package" command worked without error. ... and looks to be in parity with the code in the video.
