@strewhella I tried finding a way to pm, but couldn't find any, so I guess the issue system is what to use.

Work has prevented me from doing this earlier, but I finally got around to merging my patch from over a year ago, and updated the version number and readme to reflect the breaking change.
However, I don't think I can update the package on npm:
https://www.npmjs.com/package/mongoose-autorefs

Could you push out a new version to npm?

Also, it should be possible to make Travis CI publish to npm instead, according to this:
http://mclear.co.uk/2013/10/06/publishing-to-npm-on-git-commit-using-github-hooks-and-travis/

Maybe that is something to look into?

Hi @strewhella

Did you get around to making a new publish?

Noticed that mongoose dependency is on version 3 in npm and 4 on github.
