Troubleshooting Request

Hello, I am working on building a project for one of my supervisors using REDCap. One of the things I am to build is a system for managing/distributing gift cards, which is where I found your wonderful module. I have been working on this for the past month, and I was initially able to get the module working perfectly (with very few issues) which was great! However, my supervisors have requested certain changes (not pertaining to the gift card module) to the structure/flow of the instruments within the project. As a result, I am no longer able to get the module to run correctly.

I'd describe myself as a beginner REDCap programmer as this is the first time I have developed for a research project independently, so I have been struggling the to debug/figure out what is going wrong. In summary, the main project (where I am assigning rewards) will only interact with the gift card library project for my first instrument/event (i.e., Baseline). After that, none of the following instruments will update the "Reward ID" & "Reward ID Status" with the reserved gift card (from the library) when the logic is fulfilled.

I would really appreciate any help/support that you could provide! If there is a better way to communicate about this, please let me know, and I would be happy to maybe set up a quick call or something like that. Thank you so much!

I've resolved the issue for now, but I think the issue was with how the events and instruments were linked/grouped since the project is longitudinal.
