I believe that expo has a default tsconfig, which needs to be used.

This repo I am using as an example/guideline uses it:
https://github.com/expo-starter/expo-template/blob/main/tsconfig.json

Describe the solution you'd like to see

Make sure that tsconfig.json is using the correct expo recommended deafults
