May be an AppImage would be reasonable?

Given all the specific dependencies (and the main repo size, for instance), may be providing an AppImage would a nice shortcut for those who want to try it out?

I'm not saying in any way that the instructions are limited or something, not at all -- I've built the package without any problems on Ubuntu 21.10. It's more like just a thought may be :)

Definitely - I don't know much about AppImages though, my current plan was to at least make an rpm/deb/etc available!

I think we're getting really close to having something good enough for a first release!

I'll second AppImage for this - usually I would recommend Flatpak, but it can be kind of a pain for CLI apps.
