Searching and filtering should return matches based on base characters

Currently, if you are searching for a work with a special character, you need to type that specific character. It would be more user friendly to return results based on the base characters as well as the variants on that character.
E.g,

• An 'a' character in the search term should return matches for: a, ä, á etc.
• An 'o' character in the search term should return matches for: a, ö ó etc.
