Using the following # .terraform-docs.yml
formatter: "markdown"
output:
file: "readme.md"
mode: inject
recursive:
enabled: true
path: modules
header-from: main.tf
content: |-
{{ .Header }}
{{ .Inputs }}
{{ .Outputs }}
sort:
enabled: true
by: required
settings:
anchor: false
html: false
escape: false
hide-empty: true However, I can't seem to duplicate the recursion piece of it when run in CI. My current # documentation.yml
name: Generate terraform docs
on:
- pull_request
jobs:
docs:
runs-on: ubuntu-latest
steps:
- uses: actions/checkout@v2
with:
ref: ${{ github.event.pull_request.head.ref }}
- name: Render terraform docs and push changes back to PR
uses: terraform-docs/gh-actions@main
with:
git-push: true
working-dir: .
config-file: .terraform-docs.yml
output-method: inject
output-file: readme.md |
