Currently it's possible to enable more than one MIDI input at the same time, but all of them will control the same instrument. It would be really nice if different MIDI inputs could control different instruments. Though there should probably be a configurable upper limit (setting it to 1 would reflect the current situation) to avoid abuse, so that it's not possible for a single person to grab all instruments just because they have 21 MIDI inputs. :)

I like the idea, but it requires deep changes to basically everything. One workaround is to just open multiple instances of 7jam, if your computer can take it. The mute button completely disables the synthesizer engine, so just keep one tab unmuted.
Keeping this open because I like the idea, and overall being friendlier with gear. But not planned for the moment.
