It also bears some resemblance to the infamous "logarithmic points" JNH trophy, in that the only thing it really measures is "number of games attempted". Incrementing this counter is both trivial and tedious, and maybe also bad for server storage space? But perhaps the AWS storage handles that, now.

@k21971 should comment on storage space needs, but to my knowledge it is not considered an issue.

I don't think we should drop this as a tournament metric, though. "Who played the most [actual] games" is not a meaningless question. Maybe it should be made more restrictive, like 1000 turns and got down to at least level 3 or something, but I'm not in favor of just removing it.

maybe the idea is to have a leaderboard that correlates inversely with skill? as a Funhouse Mirror attempt to make the tournament participateable for all. if team A achieves X, Y, and Z, but does it in only 200 games and team B ties exactly on those same leaderboards, but takes 400 games to do it, they'll win the 13th leaderboard, breaking the tie in their favor
