Cryptography has since moved to providing a manylinux1 wheel allowing it to work across all glibc based Linux distros so there is no longer a requirement for Cryptography to be pip installed on an Amazon Linux distro image with a compiler dependency.

It's probably not a bad thing to still keep the Amazon Linux container package step but this should be noted more clearly in the README at least.
