Search with Shows that Start with a letter

I'm trying to get shows that start with each letter. For Example, I can do query=F* and get Friends, Fringe, but also get Modern Family.

Is there anyway to only get shows whose title begin with a word starting with F?

I've searched quite a bit on using SOLR but the way results are returned seems to be installation independant based on configuration options.

Is there a way to see the SOLR schema.xml or an explanation of how the wild cards and special characters are set up for Trakt API specifically?
