Mail Locks Up on close - requires force quit #8251

I don’t want to create another issue but :
|
Could it be a duplicate of #8198 |
My issue appears slightly different.
- I do not see multiple background processes running. Just 'Tuta not responding'
- Tuta refusing to close does not burden CPU; it prevents Mac from entering sleep mode and will not relaunch without Force Quit.
- I see reference in the thread that the issue has been resolved; mine is not.
Thank you,Mark Geil

Hi @Mark-876 , Sorry you're still experiencing this issue. Thanks :) |
Yes, that's what I have to do. "Force Quit" in Mac terms.
Thank you,Mark Geil

Hi > @Mark-876 <https://github.com/Mark-876>> , Sorry you're still experiencing this issue.
Because the client doesn't shutdown properly, you might have to kill it manually or reboot. But I'm guessing you probably already did that? Can you please confirm, just so we're sure 😅
Thanks :)

Could not reproduce it with V259.250108.1 on our Mac machines :/ |
Good morning/afternoon,
I was out most of the day yesterday following my early response. Last night, I opened the laptop and noticed there was no 'Tuta failed to close' type message. I later tried closing/reopening Tuta and it worked fine. So is it possible that Tuta auto updated after my last 'it doesn't shut down' note and before I shared the version info yesterday?
Either way, it seems that version is working for me too. Thank you,Mark Geil

Glad to hear it :) Closing the issue now |
Greetings,
An 'interesting' new development with this version. I can close Tuta and reopen it just fine. Now I have to do that in order to get new mail. I'll get a little white circle on the Tuta icon indicating mail has arrived (and I'll see it in the phone app, so I know it's real), but nothing comes into the inbox until I close the app on the Mac and then reopen it.
I noticed this right away but held on reporting to see if it was just a polling interval or something, but it appears to be consistently behaving this way. I couldn't find a setting to adjust refresh rates, and the banner has a note that says "Online, All

I will request features on forum or via support.
Describe the bug
Mail app locks up whenever I try to close it. Either manually or automatically (e.g. computer times out and goes to sleep).
Manual selection of Quit Tuta Desktop and automatic close of Tuta Desktop do not work. If either happens, I have to Force Quit to close the app and then restart it to view mail.
This began approx 7-10 days ago.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
The app should close w/o locking up
