Currently, mp4 "appears" to be upload capable in Chrome, FireFox, and Safari.

Research is being done to determine if this, or a different file extension, is the universal video type in html5 video tags across Chrome, FireFox, IE 10 & 11, iOS, Safari, and possibly Edge.

Seems like it's accepting the youtube embeds but aren't displaying:

On the left I have a YT video - note the 'X'. The right is empty.

Did you choose the embed link, or the regular share link? The embed link is the one that's necessary for the iframe to work.
