Extended dnd plugin for keyboard users

Hello, I'm a third year computer science student and I am about to start working on my final project/term paper. My university's site uses jstree for repositories and are open to making it even more accessible. For my project I would like to extend drag and drop plug in with WAI Aria attributes and make it accessible for people who use keyboard only, due to inability to use a mouse. If I modified the plug in You have already made with said idea would You be open on accepting it and implementing it for future use.
