GUI does not pop up when running .exe

Hello, I've tried running Vial and no GUI pops up when I start the application. A process does start running in the background, but the app is not visible anywhere and can't be interacted with.

I've tried v0.7.1 and v0.7. It's a windows 11 laptop (HP envy) and has sophos security system installed.

Similar issue running on Linux, Debian 12 Bookworm. It was working at one point (i.e. I would in fact see a GUI) but this went away upon adding udev rules as stated within the manual: https://get.vial.today/manual/linux-udev.html. I'm observing this behavior via usage of the appimage.
