"Loading Media, Please Stand By..." for a minute when opening video files #173
Comments
Please first click Help -> Delete Movie Preferences -> All and see if that fixes it! |
I've tried multiple times with Delete Movie Preferences > All but always without luck. The first time I open a new video I have to wait almost a minute. |
My contact at Canon is unresponsive... |
but it worked till Screen got updated to 1.7.15.... is it possible to return somehow to 1.7.14? |
wow, I just discovered, screen refuses to work with some files randomly ( canon raw files). The size of files does not matter. For example: 5GB file works, 23GB doesn't, 150GB works... etc... I am working on mac M1 Max. |
Email us at [email protected] and we can supply an old version of Screen. |
THX! |
When opening video files, even if very small / short, I got a minute of waiting with the Alert "Loading Media, Please Stand By...".
I use most frequently mp4, but it happens with different video formats. The very same files do open instantly with VLC, QuickTime Player, Preview. Having to wait a minute makes the use of the player pointless.
I'm using Screen on a brand new MacBook Pro 16-inch M3 Max with 64GB RAM, Sonoma 14.3 and Screen 1.4.14 (3195)
