Recursive slideshow not working or slow

Describe the bug
For large photo collections > 20000 photos in Immich, the Recursive slideshow option in 'Timeline' is either very slow or doesn't work. I waited 5 minutes before giving up. Is it going through each date and adding all the photos it can find and returning a very large list to KODI?

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to Immich add-on
2. Click on 'Timeline'
3. Click on 'Recursive slideshow'

Expected behavior
I expected a photo slide show to be shown.
