Is there a way to show switch wireframe off?
Or show it only for the edge voxels and combine the volumes with the same (transparent) color?

I saw https://github.com/maxogden/voxel-mesh could that have transparent colored faces?

First is possible, if I understand what you're asking correctly. The borders you see are just from the texture images; a texture could easily be fully transparent to remove the wireframe effect.

Combining the adjacent faces (like the Connected Textures Mod for Minecraft, or the feature of the same name in Optifine for Minecraft, I assume), not currently possible with voxel-glass. Each block is rendered independently. voxel-mesh is only for solid voxels (voxel-mesher can handle transparency).
