The parameters that are automatically generated from Laravel route are of the standard string data type. How is it possible to change it to Integer

For me it works by typing the router-parameters of the respective controller-function.

api.php:

Route::patch("/product/{id}", [ProductController::class, 'updateProductData'])...

ProductController.php

public function updateProductData(Request $request, int $id = -1)
{
}
