What frameworks should we use on the front end - if any? What should we serve the back end using? What should our css preprocessor be? What up and coming web apis should we use? What should our build tool be?

Make sure to leave links to the projects and make a short attempt to justify why we should use it.

CoffeeScript

  • GitHub recommends it.
  • Python (indent loving) people should dig it.
  • It would be good to reduce the hate in the Node.js community towards it.

Jade

  • Writing HTML by hand is annoying (even with tag closing helpers).
  • It's a template language, so variables can be executed and used.
  • Also filters for Markdown, CoffeeScript, Stylus and more.
