Hurricane Cone and Track Data

This may have been answered in a different thread, but I'm interested in finding the "best" NWS source for Hurricane "cone" and "track" data, similar or the same as provided at the following URL.

https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gis/examples/al112017_5day_020.zip

Is that type of data already available in the https://api.weather.gov/ api endpoint?

api.weather.gov doesn't provide any GIS services. See the NWS GIS services homepage for the full list of online services. Shapefiles for offline processing can be found at the NHC GIS services page.
