When I try to install this via easy_install, I couldn't import the module via 'from os import path2', not even 'from os.path2 import *'

with pip:

$ virtualenv --no-site-packages pip
$ . pip/bin/activate
$ pip install os.path2
$ python -c 'from os import path2'
$

with easy_install:

$ virtualenv --no-site-packages easy_install
$ . easy_install/bin/activate
$ easy_install os.path2
$ python -c 'from os import path2'
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
ImportError: cannot import name path2
$
