Can you elaborate on what you mean by attempting to reconnect? It just uses the native RDP client and doesn't have a lot of influence on what that does
I do think this is not possible with native windows RDP client since xpipe does not recognize a change in windows size then.
When using RoyalTS it looks like this:
When RoyalTs recognizes that screen size is changing, it reconnects the RDP session so the sizing is correct again.
If I understand it correctly, you can resize the window with this setting https://superuser.com/a/333387 but can't change the actual resolution with that. Note that you can also change your RDP client in the XPipe settings (it only supports devolutions remote desktop manager as an alternative right now, royalts doesn't have a proper CLI for that I think)
I think this feature would be very cool to have in xpipe:
When resizing the RDP window, xpipe attemps a "reconnect" to adjust rdp size to the new window size.
(This feature exist in similar software like RoyalTS or devolution Remote Desktop Manager)
