Welcome to the Wiki for X-ray Larch! These pages will outline and discuss development of Larch. This will includethe work outlined in the NSF Proposal Integration of Synchrotron X-Ray Analysis Software Methods into the Larch Framework

Development Roadmap

The NSF Proposal identifies three key areas for adding capabilities into Larch by integrating

  • Improved EXAFS analysis methods: ** a) incoporation of Feff8.5 for EXAFS into Larch. ** b) improved XANES fitting (pre-edge peaks and/or sums of spectral components)

  • Robust and automated Quantitative X-ray Fluorescence Analysis, as available in PyMca or GeoPIXE.

  • Automated Phase Identification and Pattern matching for powder diffraction data.
