It seems our Tarsnap usage may have increased recently. It would be good to review what's currently stored, and what we're backing up to help reduce costs.

Anecdotally, it seems that our Tarsnap usage has increased - I added $50
to our account on January 10 and again on February 21. Do we have a
sense of why this would be?
On 25th January the storage used jumped by 40GB (from 70 to 110), taking the daily storage from $0.58 to $0.88, and the > 40GB of data transfer that day cost $10.
So someone did something significant to one of the servers on the 25th Jan, presumably.
Alright, so what happened is that someone (I know who, but they don’t need to be named), on 25th Jan gzipped a load of old sql backups of xmpp.net. This presumably defeated the dedupe that tarsnap does on uncompressed files, and caused an additional 38G to need to be backed up and stored.
