adding new keyevents

Hi,

Apologies if this is a dumb question. however is it possible to add/extend the key_events list?

for example if i wanted to specifically listen for number presses (key events 48, 49, 50 etc) how do I configure these i.e. is it possible to extend the KEY_EVENTS variable from within a component, or is it done in the environment/config area?
