This plugin doesn't seem to be compatible with the CPT UI plugin. https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/custom-post-type-ui/
Creating custom permalinks with this plugin appear to be entirely ignored.
No errors when I debug either.
I tried appending news/%postname% on the regular Posts post type too. It's being ignored as well.

Tried with WP 5.7.2 and 5.8.
