Considering different fonts for extended Latin languages

(I'm speaking from the perspective of Vietnamese here, but if anyone is underserved by PGothic it might be helpful as well.)

The current font does not look good for some languages, such as in this case for Vietnamese:

Due to poor support from PGothic, a lot of diacritics from sans-serif are mixed in with the usual Latin text. It would be difficult to fix this without fixing the font itself which is non-trivial as well as legally dubious, while other fonts might be more desirable for this task.

For Windows 10, Bahnschrift is ideal for Vietnamese. Here's a sample with minor CSS changes:

• Linux

On Apple systems, the -apple-system + BlinkMacSystemFont combo is serviceable and are widely available.

On Linux, Fira Sans is preinstalled with many distros. One or two more backup fonts could also be considered.
