Checklist

  • I made sure that there are no existing issues - open or closed - which I could contribute my information to.
  • I have read the FAQ and my problem isn't listed.
  • I have taken the time to fill in all the required details. I understand that the bug report will be dismissed otherwise.
  • This issue contains only one bug.

Affected version

25.24

Device Type

Smart TV/Box

Affected Android

Android TV

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Get a video that has sections on it (for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBQCup27ukE&ab_channel=RobWords).
  2. Advance the video to some other section

Actual behavior

The tooltip over the seek bar shows the current section name.

We expect that tooltip to actually show the section is under the seek cursor.

For example: In a video that lists the top 20 games of 2024, the video has 22 sections (one intro, 20 games and one ending). I wish to use the seek function to jump to the sections and see the game name just by looking at the tooltip.

YouTube does that.
