How to change the edit prediction modifier key?

For context, I'm binding alt-j and alt-k to menu::SelectNext / menu::SelectPrev in the showing_completions context so I can use vim-like j k to navigate the menu's.

After the rollout of edit predictions, alt hides the completions view while showing the completion. This completely breaks my flow (see below)

Where can I disable or change the alt key being bound to edit prediction preview? I tried changing it by setting "alt": null in the keymap file but alt is not recognized as a keypress because it is a modifier.

I'm not sure if this is the only way, but i've re-binded the secondary accept (you can search for all the alt-tabs in default keybinding file) to use a different modifier:
