Vista: MSI cannot close 'firefox.exe' during Gears uninstall

Repro:
1. Uninstall Gears when FF browser is open.
2. Accept prompt for 'Automatic close of open applications'- see attachment
3. After uninstall completes,open FF browser.

Result:
1.FF browser does not open and gives prompt -
'Firefox is already running,but not responding. Either close Firefox
process or restart system'

2. Task Manager Processes shows 'firefox.exe' running

Behavioral difference for Gears 0.3.21.0 that was not seen in older versions 
like
0.3.11.0

Uninstalling Gears with FF2 open on Vista Business sp1-
1. Prompts to 'Automatically close and restart browser'.Click OK.
2. Before Gears uninstall completes, FF seems to be restarted.
3. After Gears is uninstalled, open FF has Gears Settings Dialog which is 
un-clickable.
4. Closing the open FF, does not kill the firefox.exe in Task Manager.
