Do you have some RC controlled panes or copters, especially FPV? I have and I want to have possibility to find it in case of crash. So I use a small GPS tracker. LocusGpsTracker allows me to view location realtime on the screen of my cell phone. Tracker has an independent battery and sends the location every 2 seconds. In case of crash phone shows the actual location (in case the tracker can connect to GSM) or last known. Also in the browser I can check the current status of the tracker (connected to GSM, has GPS position).
