We need to sort out what language we want to use for the protocol and what format we want to put in place.

The initial language we are using is English, formatted using MarkDown. See PR #22.

MarkDown seems powerful and simple for all persons. The best choice.

Do you mean that documents of wide interest could be even translated in another languages? I did not think to this, but I can help for Italian.

"Language" in this context was meant to ask whether we wanted to use some formal protocol language, such as

  • Antha - programming language for biology, developed and maintained by Synthace
  • Autoprotocol - open source language, originally developed by Transcriptic, for formally describing protocols
  • BioCoder - programming language for standardizing and automating biology protocols, developed by Microsoft Research

Thanks Richard, this is an interesting suggestion. I do not know anything about these protocol languages, but I can study a bit.
