While playing with Metallurgy 4: Reforged you may come across some strange black lakes like this one:

This is a Tar Lake, tar slows your movements a lot so if you get stuck in it, it might take a while to get out of it.

Processing Fluid Tar

If you place a Tar Fluid source far from any other tar source block it will cool down into tar ore after a short period of time.

Products and Usage

When mining Tar ore you'll obtain 2 products Tar and Bitumen:

• Tar Usage
  • Fuel that smelts 4 items
  • Alternative to slimeball in recipes.
• Bitumen Usage
  • Making Road Blocks and Striped Road Blocks (These blocks allow players to walk faster on them)
