Installing AJAX Chat

The exact procedure for installing AJAX Chat will vary depending on if you want to integrate it with your forums or if you want it to be a standalone application, however the general procedure is always the same.

1. Download and UnZip the files to your computer.
2. Upload the files to your server where you want the chat to be (usually in www.mydomain.com/forum/chat for integration versions)
3. Create the database tables and configure chat to connect to the database (this depends on the integration version).

Each version of AJAX Chat comes with a readme file with instructions on how to proceed with these steps.

We have included an install script to simplify the process of creating the database tables for you.
