When you open ryot as a new user (especially if you're self hosting), the dashboard is starkly empty. This can be in sharp contrast to the demo instance which has a lot of data, and proves as a deterrent to new users.

Some ideas:

  • a trending section in the dashboard by default
  • a tour like experience which showcases various features succinctly.
