1.1.0

This release of the faceted search contains the changes neccesary to interact with the latest iteration of the database. It also includes a number of bug fixes, user experience improvements, and new features (GNIS facets).

1.0.0 Beta

1.0.0 Beta Release

This is the 1.0.0 beta release of the faceted search. This version should support most of the target use cases with the anticipation of a few bugs and possible issues with the user experience.

Known Issues

There are a few issues that are currently known and documented in the GitHub Issues section. Among these are slow query times and incorrect number of results are shown when rapidly switching tabs.

Changes

1. New tool tips on the map
2. Selecting places now selects all sub-places
3. People's affiliations are now optional (so we see all people)
4. Observation collection properties can be hidden or displayed
5. Added support for observation collections on hurricanes
6. Moved away from label-based matching in most SPARQL queries
7. Query parameters are now cleared while switching between tabs
8. locatedIn is now used in admin region searches instead of relying on s2 cells
9. Various data table state fixes
10. Locations are now stored as a cache in json files for fewer SPARQL queries
11. Fall back on using the geometry of a Place when the event doesn't have a geometry
12. The map is hidden from the Expert tab
13. Keyword searching works when you hit the 'Enter' key
