This is a collection of FREE USDZ props scanned and created with Photogrammetry for use in any Augmented Reality (AR) apps or website.
USDZ is a file format developed by Apple and Pixar for augmented reality (AR) on iOS platforms. It builds upon the existing USD (Universal Scene Description) format, which was created for storing 3D models and animations.
Photogrammetry is the science and technology of obtaining reliable information about physical objects and the environment through the process of recording, measuring, and interpreting photographic images and patterns of electromagnetic radiant imagery and other phenomena1. It involves the use of photography in surveying and mapping to ascertain measurements between objects.
Photogrammetry captures images and stitches them together to create high-fidelity, digital models of the physical world. In our case, we capture a series of photos, often over 100, with iOS Object Capture, and then stick them together into a USDZ file.
The Public Domain USDZ props in this repo are scanned and released by Nodef Open Pipeline for use in the creation of the Reality ^Cat Cut app. A fork or star is appreciated but not strictly required if you like to use the USDZ files. All files are released by Nodef in the Public Domain.
The apple on top of our cat is an Augmented Reality USDZ. Tap on the image below to view the raw public domain USDZ files on your iOS devices.
