NWA (New Wave Artists)

In late 1993, area code 604's competing artgroups [PAiN] and [POiSON] apparently determined that their local strivings in a small pond would be more successful if they pooled their creative efforts, and from this coming together New Wave Artists (what, is there anything else the letters NWA would be expected to stand for in the early '90s?) briefly emerged, yielding a two-artpack trial run (16c) in early 1994 before the appetite for mergers expanded to NWA's conglomerating with [GRiP/AD] to form iMPERiAL.

Like iMP after it, NWA was run by [The Narccissist]. It was the first artgroup in which Cthulu held membership, though he didn't manage to successfully release anything until iMPERiAL because his knack for cranking out rhyming couplets needed to be retooled to apply to tortured BBS names.
