Eliminating The Boot Spinner / Throbber
Most people will be looking for ways to reduce their boot time. So did we. And here's what we did.

What Helps?
A fast Intel CPU (OC'ed) with a cool frequency surely helps to reduce the time it takes to boot. So does RevoBoot, but having an old standard (Serial ATA-300) boot drive is not. That should be abandoned right away. Be replaced with a much faster Serial ATA-600 Hard Drive, or even better; install a OCZ Vertex 3 series SDD (example) as your boot drive.

Upping It To The Next Level
Going one step further, like we did, is to install a more expensive PCI-e card called a RevoDrive on which we installed our latest version of RevoBoot. In a way we do that for USB-stick setups. This way we get to keep the two Serial ATA-600 ports on the motherboard for 'normal' hard drives. Which we used to install two SDD drives (in a RAID setup) so there is no way to get things any faster. Have a look at this:

And say goodbye to the boot spinner. So long my friend. It was our pleasure to see you go!
