This remove self.makeone call with download_dir=None, since it breaks with current pip version. This might not be the right fix though, since I'm not sure about what was the original test target for this call.

There was two breaking tests (one exception and one failure) with dependencies versions.
This PR fix the tests, though I'm not sure about my second commit (see commit msg).
