DVD playing is actually done by MPlayer/MEncoder video engine, as FFmpeg is still not able to handle it correctly and is not able to use tne external libdvdcss, libdvdcss2 or libdvdread libraries for encrypted DVDs.

If you get an issue, like pixelated video, while playing DVD / DVDISO, make sure that you have installed and updated all your libraries used by Mplayer.
If your issue still persist, installing the latest MPlayer should solve your issue.
