One client and API for all key-value databases. Why? Useful while you make e.g. cache library and you want support for multiple databases.
npm i keyer --save
const Keyer = require('keyer');
(async () => {
const keyer = new Keyer({
dialect: 'redis',
});
await keyer.connect();
// Basic IO
await keyer.set('hello', 'world');
console.log(await keyer.get('hello')); // world
console.log(await keyer.exists('hello')); // true
await keyer.del('hello');
console.log(await keyer.exists('hello')); // false
// Support for lists
await keyer.listAppend('mylist', 'item');
console.log(await keyer.listGetRange('mylist', 0, -1)); // ['item']
})();
new Keyer({
dialect: 'redis', // kv database
host: '127.0.0.1',
port: 6379,
// or
server: '127.0.0.1:6379', // for e.g. Memcached
// Keyer supports more options depends on database.
// Redis: https://www.npmjs.com/package/redis#options-object-properties
// Memcached: https://www.npmjs.com/package/memcached#options
});
Returns object with all possible methods (as key) and true
or false
.
{

listPrepend: true,
listPop: true,
listShift: true,
listLength: true,
listSetIndex: true,

}
Returns value for given key.
await keyer.set('foo', 'bar', {
expire: 60, // expire time in seconds
onlyIfExists: true, // only modify already existing key
ignoreIfExists: true, // don't set key if already exists
});
Removes the specified key.
Flush database.
Returns true
if key exists or false
if not exists.
Adds value to the end of list.
Adds value to the beginning of list.
Removes the last value of list and returns removed value.
Removes the first value of list and returns removed value.
Returns length of list.
Sets value on the specified index of list.
Returns value of the specified index of list.
Returns value in specified indexes range of list.
Returns full list.

If you are missing support for any database, please contribute Keyer. Below you have dialect examples.
