Paper Summarizer v1.0.0 Release

Overview

First release of the Paper Summarizer Chrome Extension - an AI-powered tool for automatically summarizing academic papers from arXiv using advanced language models.

Installation

1. Download the paper_summarizer_v1.zip from this release
2. Unzip the file
3. Open Chrome and go to

chrome://extensions/

4. Enable Developer Mode
5. Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped folder

Configuration

1. Get an API key from one of the supported providers:

• Gemini 2.0 Thinking Flash (Google AI Studio)
• DeepSeek R1 (OpenRouter)
• OpenAI o3-mini (GitHub models)

2. When on arXiv, click the gear (⚙) icon.
3. Select your choice of model and enter your API key.
4. Save settings.

Notes

• Requires Chrome v58 or higher
• API keys not included - must be provided by user.
• PDF.js worker included for PDF processing.
