thanks for your efforts!

i don't think vesktop should be in the same download page, it gets quite messy. maybe as a double nested tabbing?

the dedicated vesktop page should have images showcasing vesktop and stress the upsides it has over normal discord

Make sense. I'm currently on a trip so I could make these modifications some time in the next few weeks.

@Vendicated Working on improvements based on your pointers a few weeks ago. Thinking of having a single dedicated page for Vencord and placing Downloads button at bottom of page after listing all the benefits of Vesktop with images?

yes that sounds good, about what i had in mind!

try having a style similar to https://discord.com: basically screenshots and for each screenshot a short headline and extended description

a few of those to highlight the main features

on the top there should also be a short headline introducing vesktop and a download button that jumps you to the download section

i recommend using https://github.com/Synqat/Vencord-theme in at least one (but not all) of the screenshots

try to avoid showing things that might infringe discords trademarks (for example discord icon)

don't show vencord things, only vesktop specific things. so for example the vesktop settings section, the custom screenshare & sound options on linux, and such

maybe also showcase mica on windows

also it would be a lot better if you joined & discussed on our Discord server, in the #vencord-dev channel

Good suggestions! I want to also try to keep design consistent with existing pages like home page and plugins page. they have relatively minimal lines and neutral colours

hallo! i'm here to resurrect this and encourage discussion over at Vencord/vesktop.vencord.dev#1 - my personal feelings on this are that, since vesktop is a separate project, giving it a single page to mention on the main mod website may not be appropriate, especially since vee has brought up making it similar to discord.com (meaning we can do a ton of things here to advertise the app), therefore making a new website based on the main mod website would be a good choice and would be extremely flexible on what we can do, since we won't be tied down by the current design constraints

plus, it means we can get SEO brownie points and advertise it as a separate site with its own FAQ, download links, source code links etc. which helps promote vesktop alongside vencord

i'm loving the progress so far though, and we'd really appreciate you hopping over to website-development in the discord server for further discussion. thank you <3
